Chronic Illnesses Enabling Program (CIEP) includes four key areas: Intervene, Adjustment, Prevention, Education. The program provides access to Dietitians and Care Educators.
Our exercise specialist’s initial assessment will help us tailor the type of type and intensity of exercises to improve strength, balance, and flexibility. Intradialytic Exercise (INDEX) Program
INDEX is an on-site exercise program with the objectives of improving the quality of life by:
1. Combatting muscular atrophy
2. Improving muscular strength and endurance for activities of daily living
3. Improving cardiovascular health
4. Improving functional ability
- joint stability and fine motor control skills to improve functional capability
Retrofit and Physiotherapists jointly develop our program. All exercises are done during the dialysis session. We have implemented INDEX at dialysis centers.
